A couple of months ago I debated my two primary opponents at a neighborhood association meeting. We took questions from audience members, and one question really stuck out: Why do you want to represent the people of District 117?

As I stepped up to the microphone, I realized how easy it was to answer that question. I told the audience that I want to represent them because I’m from here. I’m one of them. I’m one of you.

I’ve dedicated my life to improving this great community. I was born and raised in District 117. I love this community. My wife and I are planning to grow old together and God willing raise our family here.
